IMS Practitioner and IMS Auditor: ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and ISO 20000-1

Integrated Management System (IMS) combines two or more management systems to enable an organization to achieve its goals and objectives. 

Our 8-day IMS Practitioner course consists of five days of class work and three days self-study activity. As part of the five-day class work is a half day exam on the eighth day of the course. 

This course combines three practitioner courses including ISO 20000-1, ISO 22301, and ISO 27001, into one coherent course. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES 

At the end of this workshop, participants will: 

  • Learn how to interpret and implement the requirements of ISO 20000-1, ISO 22301, ISO 27001 in the specific context of an organization 
  • Acknowledge the correlation between ISO 27001; ISO 22301; ISO 20000-1 and other standards and regulatory frameworks 
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the concepts, approaches, methods, and techniques used for the implementation and effective management of a business continuity management system, service management system and/or information security management system 
  • Understand the operation of a business continuity management system, service management system and/or information security management system and their processes based on specified regulatory requirements. 
  • Acquire the necessary knowledge to support and/or advise an organization in effectively planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and maintaining a business continuity management system, service management system and/or information security management system

This training is designed for: 

  • Risk managers, practitioners, professionals, and prospective implementers of risk management 
  • Management system Certification Bodies and professionals, ISO consultants, Inspection Agencies, and Quality personnel, Regulators 
  • All Business Continuity professionals with a working knowledge of Business Continuity. 
  • Project managers, Expert advisors, and consultants involved in and concerned with the implementation of ISMS, SMS and BCMS. 
  • Technical experts wanting to prepare for an SMS, ISMS and or BCMS function. 
  • Individuals responsible to maintain conformity with BCMS, SMS and/or ISMS requirements within an organization. 
  • Managers and employees seeking to help their organization meet the service requirements and deliver value. 

PREREQUISITE 

There are no prerequisites for this course. It functions as a stand-alone course. 

MATERIALS 

You will receive a course binder containing copies of presentation slides, case studies, exercises, and suggested solutions 

CERTIFICATION EXAM 

Participants will write a 150-minute certification exam on the last day of the course, and shall receive an IMS Practitioner Certificate, issued by TCIC, a Canadian 3rd party certification body. 

The requirements for IMS Practitioner Certificate include: 

  • Prerequisite for Examination 
    • Attend five-day course 
    • Work on the three-day assignment as a team or individually 
    • Receive a passing score 
  • Write practitioner examination and pass. Competency domains include: 
    • Introduction 
    • Clauses 4, 5, 6 and 7 
    • Clause 8: ISO 20000-1 
    • Clause 8: ISO 22301 
    • Clause 8: ISO 27001 (including Annex A) 
    • Clauses 9 and 10 
    • Audit Techniques
